Deafblind

Deafblindness is a unique sensory impairment typically recognised by a loss of both hearing and vision. Its most common effect is on communication and people with Deafblindness tend to withdraw from general society due to these issues.

The Deafblind group is incredibly diverse with great levels of individuality occurring in their communication techniques. Some also possess other impairments/challenges.

ADBC

The Australian Deafblind Council is a peak advocacy body that represents Deafblind Individuals in Australia. It collaborates with State, National and International agencies to work towards a high quality of service for Deafblind people.
